For us metropolitans, the longing for nature only becomes real when we are in the middle of it. For the first time in 40 years, more people are moving from the city to the countryside than the other way around. We enjoy the colors of nature, their fragrance and - their sound.
B&O PLAY showcased the Natural Sound Experience, a pop-up from 19th to 22nd October 2017 in Berlin, interpreting the feel of "natural sound" in a new way. The brand's premium headphones and speakers transformed cacti into pumping beat machines and wildflowers turned into a colorful carpet of sound.
During the German Press Days, the brand from Denmark presented their complete Fall/Winter 2017 headphone and speaker selection in an inspiring installation. Artist Anton Unai used six floral exhibits to design different ecosystems based on different parts of the world: Amazonia, African Voodoo, Peru's Cloud Forest, Black Forest, Australian Outback and Borneo Island. He played with elements of nature like sand, bark mulch and foliage. Combining a fascinating vegetative backdrop with his own artwork he created a special jungle experience.
Inspired by the regions and their flora, electronic Music DJ and producer Fabe gave the plants a voice and their own rhythm. In the center of each vegetation zone was a B&O PLAY headphone or speaker making the dive from the big city into the real jungle possible – A moment of peace and seclusion in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. Together with Anton Unai and DJ Fabe, B&O PLAY took the visitors on a musical journey around the world in interplay of visual artwork, individual sounds and the scent of nature.
The Natural Sound Experience works best with B&O PLAY's noise-canceling headphones. With their noise canceling function, they simply hide all background noises, enabling the listener to fully concentrate on the clear and full sound. The highlight of the upcoming collection is the just released B&O PLAY E8 in-ear headphones, which offer a true wireless experience and superior sound.
