Zen Running Club Makes U.S. Debut
BOLD LA launches new brand Zen Running Club with Press Pop-up and a stunt at the Malibu Farmers Market

Last December the BOLD LA team created and executed a soft launch concept for new European brand Zen Running Club in collaboration with the Malibu Farmers Market that invoked much interest and a hearty welcome from the local community.

The up-and-coming brand is breaking into the sportswear industry with revolutionary footwear that challenges the fast-fashion culture of the retail industry. Plant-based and vegan, their running shoes are engineered from recyclable sugarcane, eucalyptus tree fibers, and natural rubber.

Joining the Malibu Farmers Market for Zen’s soft launch was a conscious choice because we wanted to introduce these groundbreaking shoes in the midst of other organic and natural producers and showcase them to the Malibu community that is overflowing with early adopters and trendsetters who value sustainability as much as we do.

Zen Running Club’s co-founder Dominic Sinnott and Brand Director Nina Zywietz proved that their footwear can do it all without compromise: be super fashionable, high-performing, and environmentally friendly.

Full-day press pop-up at BOLD LA’s downtown space

But Zen’s positive momentum didn’t stop there! In mid-December, their full-day press pop-up at BOLD LA’s downtown space caught the attention of many fashion and lifestyle editors and stylists, most notably the LA Times, who featured Zen Running Club’s ZR 01 running shoes in their article: “The release of Zen Running Club’s ZR 01 running shoe proves that sleek, stylish and effective performance gear can be eco-friendly and vegan too”.

On top the BOLD Team managed placing a cover story with the Malibu Times Magazine, and will continue sharing sleek, sustainable, and high-performing shoes with our growing community.
