RECAP: JACKS BEAUTY DEPARTEMENT BIRTHDAY BASH

Last week we got together to celebrate the 3rd birthday of Jacks Beauty Departement. Alongside getting introduced to MYE cosmetics we sipped champaign, had one or two bites of a huge wedding cake that tasted even better than it looked (though we thought that wasn’t possible) and listened to some chilled live music on the street till the sun came down and then, in the midst of it all, it hit us : This is life as it should always be.

DEAR SUMMER

That summer hasn’t arrived yet, doesn’t mean that we’re not ready for it and we all got our methods of trying to lure the summer into  town. The first price for the most promising technique definitely goes to OWL Optics, because what really would attract the sun more then having her beautiful shafts reflected on an intense green-gray lens in a pair of OWL’s handmade high quality glasses ? Well, okay, we admit that it was in a way the logical next step  for OWL to make all of their frames also available as sunglasses, given that the Berlin based label is providing affordable glasses and elegant clean cuts via their online shop since September 2011. So, here they are…we are ready!

RECAP:GERMAN PRESSDAYS AT BOLD

Last week we opened our doors and hearts  and invited you to check us out during the German Press Days . Over fresh handmade waffles from Taste & Melt Berlin we had some time to chat about  our brandnew second floor showroom and the box fresh  fall/winter collections of our BOLD customers and friends. RECAP: DOCKERS F/W 2012/2013

Don’t we all love road trips ? Even if its just a two hour drive, something inside of us gets excited as soon as we call it a road trip.  Maybe it’s that sudden taste of freedom, or just the thought of being in the same place with people that we like for a certain time, whatever it is….no one screams out in enthusiasm if we mention a 6 hour drive, but call it a road trip and we get aaaaall excited.
Well, you can imagine how excited we were to go on  little road trip to Munich to go wild on ‘Real man of Action’ …wait, what? Of course we are talking about the theme for the European Presentation of the Dockers F/W Collection 2012/2013, which was organized by BOLD. What were you thinking ?

Alongside a wonderful installation of Anton Unai we thought it’d be nice to set up some themed arrangements on the two floors of the Goldbergstudios and sprinkle them not only with the new collection, but with the spirit of that modern adventurer that is somewhere deep inside of every man.

GERMAN PRESS DAYS

While I am writing this, I am also in a conversation with my best friend on whats app, I am checking the news online, look into some gossip on twitter and see what my friends are up to on facebook. Online communication has changed the way we communicate in many ways. Many times we write emails and texts instead of calling each other and offline conversations tend to turn into a multitasking masterpiece, because we always seem to be in an online conversations at the same time.
The little moments that make an impact on our life, the moments when someone touches your life with a look, maybe a gesture or a certain silence, those moments that you remember at the end of the day, easily get lost between the lines.
Thats why we would like to invite all journalists, bloggers & stylists to share some moments and smiles beyond =). Come to the home & heart of BOLD.

PICTOPLASMA EXHIBITION OPENING

The exhibition will be going on for 4 days, if you can’t make it to the opening, make sure that you’ll check it out between the  12th and the 15th of April. Opening hours are 12 to 20 h . See you there ! 

IT’S A SPRING THING.

The little taste that we got of spring is still on our tongues as we face the change to a not so spring like weather in Berlin these days…and even if Berlin is our favorite place in the world, a tiny little part of us is daydreaming about  New York, because our NY BOLD friends told us that spring has already arrived in the big apple…..

RECAP: FLOWERS ARE A GIRLS BEST FRIEND

Last week Jules Mumm made a lot of woman very happy . With the help of BOLD they brought the idea of placing 50.000 flowers over 5 german cities, alive in a unique overnight guerrilla mission. Its amazing how such little things, as a single flower can brighten up your whole day just because of the simple fact that there has been someone thinking of you. It’s amazing how happy it makes, to make other people happy, don’t you think ?
